Happy Spring Break! While the rest of the world is tanning in Cancun, I’m making sure you all have your weekly dose of gLossiP. (Mainly because I don’t have a spring break, but I still love you all).
“Spring Breakers”, which stars Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine, is causing a controversy for being too racy and inappropriate. While a movie like this usually doesn’t cause this much mayhem, the fact that there’s Disney stars in it makes all the difference.
Here’s some tweets I found about the movie:
“@sarahhhingle: had to leave Spring Breakers early and get a refund. Disgusting and unnecessary.”
“@sydneyleroux: Just saw the ‘Spring Breakers’ movie.. I rather have a raccoon pick out my eyes with their little hands than have to sit through that again.”
So far, I have heard mostly negative feedback about “Spring Breakers” but I’ll have to watch the movie for myself before I fully judge it. I will say this though, casting directors know that nothing intrigues people more that good Disney girls gone bad. Bravo.
Guess who’s going to rehab for the millionth time? Yup, Lindsay Lohan. However, this time she’s going to a lock-down rehab facility which means she can not leave for any reason and she can not have any visitors for 90 days. Let’s see if she actually gets out of this a different woman. Ha! Yeah right..
Okay, there’s something I need to vent about and I won’t feel any better until I do so. Doesn’t every song on the radio sound exactly the same? I’ve noticed that they all do this crazy thing where the beat goes really really slow, and then it goes really fast until everyone’s bobbing their heads like crazy! It was fun at first, but I’m tired of it. What ever happened to the fun, sing-along type of songs like Hot in Here by Nelly? Maybe I should turn into a pop star, or a rapper. I would bring back songs from early 2000’s. Would you guys like that? Or am I totally lame? I don’t know..
Here are this weeks Life Lessons:
1. Disney stars will eventually grow up. Most of them do not want to appear angelic for the rest of their lives. Because of that, don’t expect them to be your role models forever.
2. Showing more skin doesn’t mean you’re mature. Showing more intelligence does.
3. If people have to listen to that same beat on the radio, we will all eventually get sick of it.
